Of course they were green.

So I covered them with fabric and now they look like this.

Of course Novalee doesn't want them and Sadie just takes them off. :)
Last weekend very last minute I was asked to go with my dad to Mary Poppins! I was so excited! I love going to see musicals and Mary Poppins from what I had heard promised to be amazing!
My step-mom told me that I didn't need to wear anything formal but if I had something nice and summer-ish I should wear that.
Well I didn't really have anything. And I only had about 40 minutes to get ready and go.
So I pulled out this shirt from the closet.

I bought it about four years ago and I don't think I've ever worn it. I don't know what I was thinking when I got it. With the long puffy sleeves and long tight cuffs and the deep v-neck that tightens around the waist I felt more like a pirate than a lady every time I tried it on.

Not exactly a look I was trying for. :)
But after looking at the shirt this last time trying to figure out if it would ever work, I thought maybe it would be just the thing if I altered it a bit.
It turned out just right.

And we had lots of fun! :)
Okay last project.
Here is a skirt that I rarely wore because it reminded me more of a slip than a skirt.

So I turned it into a skirt for Novalee.

Now it doesn't have to take up residence in the local landfill and Novalee has a new skirt. :)
