Enjoying the Sunny Weather While it Lasts

Yesterday was such a beautiful day!

I love the sunny weather! Summer is my season.

Every now and again I think about how this weather only lasts for a couple of months in Oregon and then it will be rain, rain, dark gray clouds and more rain for 9+ months until the sun decides to show itself again. Which is seriously depressing for me and I do have to mentally prepare myself for it every year. (Which generally just means I have to remind myself that nothing lasts for ever AND ever and that I've survived years of Oregon fall/winter/springs and I can do it again.) :)

Since it was so nice yesterday we had an outside day.

We played in our little pool and in the sprinkler.

Aren't they cute? They can be such good friends!



Yes, Sadie is naked. At one point she had clothes on but of course it wasn't when it occurred to me that I should take pictures. Then she got cold, so off went her wet stuff and then, of course, she wanted to get back in the pool.





The kids threw water balloons(which I was dumb enough to fill up in my kitchen sink and EVERYTHING got wet).





Afterwards we had a picnic outside. Which was so much fun!

And not that this has anything to do with outside but later we went out to diner at a restaurant (which we never do) and then to top it all off we had a family movie night.

Which of course made it "The BEST DAY EVER"! Which is what the kids and I like to say almost everyday. :) Thank you "Tangled."


(If you are interested, Novalee has an idea for a "BEST DAY EVER" that she thinks we should do sometime. Here it goes. Disneyland, then Legoland, then Seaworld, then drive home, have a movie night, then go camping outside. I'm not sure if that would be the BEST DAY EVER or just the most TIRING DAY EVER. :) And since she didn't even stay awake on the drive home from the restaurant last night I'm not sure it would be entirely possible. But a kid can dream, right?) :)
