Gratitude (Day 14)

Day 14-

I'm so very grateful for my vacuum.

Last year around this time I plugged my old and reliable vacuum into the wall and sparks flew out of the socket and the vacuum flickered to life and then died.

I was kind of really upset about it, I had had the vacuum for going on 7 years. We had a hairy beast of a dog at the time and the carpets had just gotten to "my" point of unbearable and they really needed to be vacuumed.

We happened to be beyond poor at the time, since we had just moved from Arizona to Utah, paid our first months rent and a pet deposit on top of the regular deposit.

So thankfully my mom agreed to give us our Christmas "gift" early.

After doing some research I had two vacuums in mind that I wanted to get when I headed to the store.

Of course both were out of stock so I got this one:

I know. Nothing special. I got it at Walmart, the guy on the floor actually knew about the vacuums and was super sure I would be happiest with this one.

I wasn't so convinced but when I got home I read the reviews and it actually had good ratings.

I was so impressed and surprised the first time I vacuumed with it. The container part that holds the dirt had to be emptied twice. It was so gross and yet so nice to see that the vacuum was so powerful.

I still love vacuuming with it. Even now, after vacuuming, the container is almost halfway full. It's just so satisfying to know your carpets are super clean. (I know what you may be thinking but don't worry we really do vacuum on a regular basis.)

It says on the vacuum that it is better than a Dyson...I'm not experienced with Dyson's but I love this one! Love, Love, Love it!
